Thank you First Look Festival!

Well, it’s the middle of the week after the weekend before and here at Evilized Games HQ we’ve just about recovered from the exciting, exhilarating, exhausting – but completely fabulous – time we had at Jaarbeurs Utrecht for FirstLook 2015.

It was so great to meet with so many of you gamers and to give people the chance to play Disposable Heroes on our retro style arcade cabinet set which proved very popular!

I had a great time meeting you all and was so grateful for all your lovely comments. Really it means the world to a gamedev when your efforts are rewarded by people liking your game so much.

It was also really fun to meet with a lot of reviewers and youtubers who interviewed me about the game and about plans for further additions, new levels, new characters and that kind of thing. You can watch and read some of their thoughts via the links on our ‘Chatter’ page.

Disposable Heroes is out now in Early Access on Steam – you can get your copy here.

We’re in Early Access because we want our audience – gamers across the globe – to be able to feedback on what they like and to have a say in how the game’s development is completed.

Maybe you have an idea for a character or a level that you would like to see in the madcap medieval world that the Disposable Heroes have to battle their way through – if so then please let us know; if we like it we’ll see what we can do about maybe incorporating it into the game!

We would love to know what you think so that we can make the game as much fun to play as possible – please do leave your review or feedback at our Steam community hub and in the meantime we hope you have a blast playing Disposable Heroes!

Get your first look..!

Make some room in your life for The Princess, The Gladiator and The Wizard and – yes – The Orc as we prepare to tell you about a land; forgotten by many, about darkness and magical potions, about kings and queens, demons, witches, zombies, elves and fat babies; about castle assaults, mine-cart chases, maps, and time travel; about idiots, evil deeds, heroic music – and more idiots…

You can find Evilized Production’s stand at First Look Festival Indie Gallery (booth I-18) this Saturday and Sunday (10 & 11 October) at Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Come & play Disposable Heroes on our retro arcade machine!

I just love it when a plan comes together… not that it is my specialty… trust me, it is not!

But I surround myself with people who plan, schedule and create for a living.

I would like to thank all of them; everyone who has helped to get Disposable Heroes to this stage; a huge thank you to my dear friends and family who will help me this weekend – you guys are the greatest!

Thank you to Disposable Heroes composer David Burrows, with whom I have been working for several years now and who has also chipped in with valuable words of support and advice – and for his unshakeable trust in me and my games.

Thank you to my wonderful girlfriend Daisy who is responsible for the ‘planning and scheduling’ part of this event, and of course thank you to my amazing daughter Zoë who keeps me up all night so I can ‘create’… Let’s rock!

Come and talk to us, play Disposable Heroes on our fabulous retro-style arcade machine, maybe win yourself a t-shirt – and have a cupcake!

Time-travel 1280

Hey hi hola hello!

Hope you all had a smashing weekend?

Disposable Heroes was released in Early Access on Steam last Thursday… seems a long time ago now but we’re delighted to be able to say that it seems a lot of people around the world have been playing and enjoying the wacky world in which the game is set.

Check out Traveldog & Preocts‘ hilarious escapades as they tackle the phalanx of deadly witches, warlocks, orcs, zombies, worms and leeches, terrifying knife-throwing bosses and more – not to mention trying to cross the road in good ol’ 1995!

Click here to watch the archive of their stream… this will be available until the beginning of December:

Disposable Heroes has been released in Early Access so there are still numerous tweaks, amendments and additions to be made; among the things we want your feedback on is how you think the gameplay works and how difficult certain parts should be. Please join our Steam community hub to be part of the development of our game.

In addition to the arsenal of weapons at the Disposable Heroes’, er, disposal, there are always the lotions and potions to explore – wizardry and alchemy that will aid you in defeating your evil foes including one potion that restores you to full health!

You can get hold of Disposable Heroes with a special launch discount of 30% – please click here to visit the Steam store.

Here’s Andy plays Disposable Heroes

Have you checked out madcap medieval cartoon comedy caper Disposable Heroes yet? Here’s Andy did, and here’s how he got on – what a legendary Hero!

Watch, laugh and enjoy as he journeys forth from the town market and explores the first few levels of the game, discovering just some of the array of weapons at the Disposable Heroes’ disposal! Pretty good in combat, huh?!

With so much going on in the game it can be pretty perilous to navigate at times – we’re in Early Access so there are still numerous tweaks, amendments and additions to be made; among the things we want your feedback on is how you think the gameplay works and how difficult certain parts should be.
